Harvesting Operations have been active at Larsen’s Meadow Road as of May 8, 2015 . Tree falling continues at blocks LAR1, LAR2 and LAR3, and tree falling is now complete at block LAR4 and LAR5. Hoe Forwarding operations have commenced as of June 1 at block LAR4 and LAR5. Road rehabilitation/construction is essentially complete for all blocks. Some additional minor road maintenance is anticipated and post-harvest road rehabilitation is anticipated to occur.

The Cortes Forestry General Partnership has received many commercial orders for logs from local mills and those logs are being sorted and marked for local delivery. There is also substantial demand for firewood both for personal use and for commercial sales. Firewood will be made available post-harvest once scaling and waste and residue reporting is complete.
